Federal Government Bureaucracy Used to Harass and Intimidate a Conservative, Tea Party Citizen?

On 3/26/14 I post here an article entitled “The Movie Noah Makes No Reference to GOD Throughout the Entire Movie?” The following video is a segment of “Hannity” about the movie.

I received this from a friend who has a farm in Colorado and spends the summers there. Colorado rockslide:

“Tea Party Hero Receives Multiple Visits’ From Government Thugs
The notion that certain people, like Catherine Engelbrecht, were targeted because of their political views is a frightening prospect.

Congressman Darrell Issa, the Chairman of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, is hopping mad.

After months of waiting, the IRS still hasn’t provided his committee with the emails and documents that are necessary for Congress’ ongoing investigation.

Instead, the man Obama hired to clean up the IRS, John Koskinen, continues to stonewall the Committee. He answered questions during testimony and even had the chutzpah to say that providing the IRS documents and emails could take years. Several members were visibly angry. (An old bureaucratic movestall, stall, stall some more and the problems will go away!—my addition)

The flash point was the issue of accessing Lois Lerner’s email. You may recall that Lerner is the IRS official accused of politicizing the tax exempt status for nonprofit organizations. In particular, hundreds of Tea Party organizations had their tax exempt status held up for months, and even years, before approval.

This past week, I heard Catherine Engelbrecht—the Founder of one of the targeted organizations—speak at the United in Purpose conference in Dallas, Texas. Her story was compelling … even frightening.

After joining a local Tea Party, she decided to volunteer on Election Day in Harris County, Texas (Where Houston is located!—my addition). She was told by election officials that they desperately needed volunteers all over the country to help facilitate elections.

But while working as a volunteer, Engelbrecht and her group of friends saw numerous violations of law. Voters came in with multiple voter registration cards. Voters allowed election officials to cast their ballots.

Engelbrecht was so moved by the corruption she witnessed that she founded the organization True the Vote. She told us, ‘I had no idea what would happen to me next (Didnt know what government can do to its citizens!—my addition).’

Hunted By the IRS

Well, after she began to push for voter integrity, the Left in Harris County became unglued.

Engelbrecht’s entire family was put under the microscope by numerous governmental organizations (Bureaucracies!—my addition). Her small manufacturing firm was audited by the IRS. Her personal taxes were audited by the IRS (For the first time in each instance! How strange? NOT! The IRS as a weapon of the politicians in power at the time!—my addition).

Her family-owned company had visits from numerous ‘alphabet soup’ agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA [Almost as bad as the EPA!—my addition]), the Texas version of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA [Probably the worst federal bureaucracy in the federal government!—my addition]), the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF [What did they do wrong? What are the charges?—my addition]).

The message was loud and clear: They didn’t want an organization working to protect the integrity of the voting process. If she insisted on monitoring elections, she was going to pay a price (my use of red—my addition).

And all of this occurred during the period when Lois Lerner was investigating Tea Party groups in Washington, D.C. (Simply a coincidence, surely!—my addition).

Yet to this day, Lerner refuses to testify before Issa’s committee on the grounds that she doesn’t have to give testimony that would put her in legal jeopardy.

Thus the standoff continues. Lerner won’t testify, and the IRS won’t give Congress Lerner’s emails, which would reveal what she was doing and what she was telling the frontline IRS workers. It’s a shameful debacle (Perhaps the House of Representatives should start impeaching some people! That is why impeachment was put into the constitution! It is a weapon vastly under used and thus not feared!—my addition).

[Article II, Section 4:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”—my addition]

Even more disheartening is that the man tasked with cleaning up the IRS has now turned into a cover-up artist (Which was always the real reason he was chosen! This is Chicago politics!—my addition). We expect the IRS to treat everyone the same, regardless of political views (Not within the Obama Administration! You expect what never has been and never will be!—my addition).

I suspect that some members of Congress now believe that the only way to clean up the IRS is to abolish it (That will not happen unless they also create a replacement which will result in basically just renaming and redesigning the IRS!—my addition)

By definition, a lawless Administration is not going to do that which is lawful just because it is expected. The Administration has to be forced into doing that which is right!

This is my two part suggestion to Tea Party groups, social conservatives, Constitutionalists, and anyone else who wants to save our Republic from the approaching destruction.

1) Run as many conservative candidates in as many Republican primaries as possible.

2) Then, run as many independent and/or third party candidates as possible in as many races as possible where we did not win the primary.

Competition is good for the economy and competition is good for the Republican Party!!! Competition keeps Congressmen committed to we the people!!! Primary Republicans who do not support the Constitution as written
