Before moving to Texas, I lived in Morton, Illinois and worshipped in East Peoria. A series of tornados went through the area Sunday morning hitting Pekin, East Peoria, and Washington. Here is a video clip of the story from a Peoria area TV station. I received this from a friend who worships in East Peoria and lives in Morton. They were in a shelter at the church for an hour.

The individual in this video is who he says he is. He was an abortionist who repented and earlier this year testified before Congress in relation to a House bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks nationally. Of course, the MURDEROUS Democrats in the Senate, who benefit from MURDERING unborn babies, will not support such a ban even though polls show that a vast majority of the voting public does.

An amendment to the Farm Bill by Congressman Steve King, R-Iowa, preventing one state from regulating production practices in other states (My use of red. Constitutionally, a State CAN NOT regulate production practices in other States. I posted the provisions in the Constitution pertinent to this at the end of this article. This proposed amendment should not be necessary. Unfortunately, we have gotten so far away from the Constitution as written that it seems that it is!—my addition) is facing criticism from the Humane Society of the United States (The Humane Society is not interested in humanity! It is the typical Leftist organization that adopts a deceptive name and then attempts to impose its will upon the rest of society. Their goal is control. Their motto is: “It is our way or the highway!”—my addition).
King explained the addition, known as the King Amendment, on Tuesday’s Beltway Beef weekly audio by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. The amendment says states cannot regulate the manufacture or means of production of the agriculture products that are listed in current law.
In the interview, he cites California as an example of one state influencing regulation in the other 49 states, forcing added infrastructure and raising the cost of livestock production.
‘California passed a referendum that doubled the cage size requirement for laying hens, and that’s fine. But then they passed a law that said no eggs can come into California unless they’re also raised in double the cage size. That means double the infrastructure investment for all of our laying houses in America, because California’s that big of a market that they can command that (Not constitutionally! Where is the executive branch of the federal government enforcing the Constitution as written? The Constitution is suppose to be the supreme law of the land!—my addition).’
The amendment if facing opposition from what King calls the Vegan Lobby, the HSUS. King says they are trying to raise the cost of production to reduce consumption of eggs, milk, cheese and meats.
‘The best people to manage our livestock are the ones who have a vested interest in it (Of course it is! It is called the free enterprise system!—my addition),’ King said. ‘Our feeders are the people that will make sure our cattle are taken care of because they care about them, they care about the production.’
The amendment doesn’t affect animal health, and only addresses means of production of agriculture products. King says large animal veterinarians are supportive of the amendment as it leaves animal health in the same condition it’s in today and doesn’t inhibit states or federal government.”

The United States Constitution, Article I, Section 8, ¶ 1-3 and Section 10, ¶ 1-3:
Article I
Section. 8.
“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;”
Section. 10.
“No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.
No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it’s inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Controul of the Congress.
No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”
First, Congress regulates commerce among the States not each State individually. Therefore, California can NOT regulate what comes into the State and how that product is produced within the various States. Second, the only thing the States can do is levy and collect an import fee and that must be approved by Congress and can only be to the extent it covers inspection costs and anything above inspection costs goes to the federal government. It is my understanding that at one time, Arizona inspected vehicles coming into the State for plants carrying plant diseases. By the time I moved to Arizona, it was no longer done.
One of the reasons for the Constitution was because individual States were hindering and/or prohibiting commerce between and among the other States. The new Constitution took that authority away from each State and gave it to the federal government through Congress to encourage unrestricted trade! It was of great benefit to the States to give it to the federal government and it still is today! The federal government, through the executive branch, should prevent any enforcement of this California law! This California law actually is unconstitutional! California’s Prop 8 Constitutional Amendment is not!
