According to ABC radio news, President Obama has decided not to take action on amnesty for illegal aliens (“immigration reform” in Left euphemism) until after the 2014 election. Of course, the reason he decided to wait was because some Democrat Senators up for reelection this year are scared silly that they will lose the election if MORE amnesty is implemented before the election. They think the American voter is TOO STUPID to realize there is no difference whether an illegal act is implemented before or after an election. It is still an illegal act that will do great harm to America!

Things appear to be tightening in Maryland, where a poll leaked to The Daily Caller shows the gubernatorial race is ‘extremely close—only 2 points, 46 to 44, separate Democratic Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown and Republican small businessman Larry Hogan (2 percent is within the margin of error meaning that it is too close to call one way or the other!—my addition).’
One should always be cognizant of outliers—and it’s worth noting that this survey was commissioned by the Maryland Republican Party (If an internal poll, the polling group is irrelevant! The group would want it to be as accurate as possible to use as a tool to help them decide how to proceed!—my addition). It’s also true that polls conducted by Gonzales this cycle have tended to show the race tighter than others (Which may mean it is doing a more accurate poll than others, less accurate, or somewhere in between. Again, does not mean the poll is inaccurate!—my addition)—but as the Washington Post noted, Gonzales ‘does not have a partisan track record (Which may be why it was selected!—my addition).’
With those caveats out of the way, let’s assume for a minute this survey is accurate. This would represent a nine point swing from a week ago, when, according to the RealClearPolitics poll average, Hogan was down by 11 points (Of course, the average could be just as wrong!—my addition).
How could this be possible? I mean, what has happened in the last week? For one thing, President Obama—not welcome on the trail in red states—campaigned for Brown in Maryland (Mistake?—my addition), where crowds began streaming out during his speech, leaving empty bleachers behind (I’ve read this in several sources! None have given a possible reason why except for the implied notion that they were specifically walking out on the President!—my addition).
Could it be that President Obama is such a drag on Democrats that he even hurts them in … Maryland? That’s one possibility. Another factor: New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the head of the Republican Governor’s Association, has also been stumping hard for him. (Also, the closer to the vote, in general, the race tends to tighten up! Not always, of course. Yet, the tendency is for it to tighten!—my addition).
Whether or not these events represent causation or correlation, is unclear. But it seems unlikely that Governor Christie would be visiting Maryland so often—so late—unless there were a reason.

As I’ve said before, no poll has ever voted. People vote. People decide! It is interesting though that there seems to be a significant increase in support for the opposition candidate after the President campaigned there. We will soon see who wins this election. Keep this post in mind. Maryland should be an easy Democrat win!
