According to ABC radio news, President Obama has decided not to take action on amnesty for illegal aliens (“immigration reform” in Left euphemism) until after the 2014 election. Of course, the reason he decided to wait was because some Democrat Senators up for reelection this year are scared silly that they will lose the election if MORE amnesty is implemented before the election. They think the American voter is TOO STUPID to realize there is no difference whether an illegal act is implemented before or after an election. It is still an illegal act that will do great harm to America!

“Yet Another Abuse Scandal Doesn’t Stop $75 Billion Food Stamp Program
Once again, news is surfacing about abuses within SNAP, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (This is the largest program by far in the Agriculture Department!—my addition) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Once again? With a federal government program? Seriously?—my addition). SNAP is the federal government’s primary food supplement program. Recently, a new report issued by the agency says $2.6 billion worth of improper SNAP payments (Improper payments? Fraudulent payments!—my addition) were made during 2013, up from $2.5 billion in 2012. That $2.6 billion comprises 3.4 percent of the total benefits paid under the program, which doled out $74.6 billion (Way too much!—my addition). There is also concern about abuse among retail outlets (Fraud at both ends of the system? Seriously? Who isn’t benefiting? That’s right! The American taxpayer!—my addition). The government employs only 40 investigators to police over 193,000 retailers nationwide (That’s one investigator for every 4,825+ retailers. That isn’t enough?—my addition).
Despite the questions and criticism, the government continues to pump money into this program (Of course! More and more. Have to grow the bureaucracy! Have to increase dependency!—my addition). Between the years 2000 and 2011, spending for the food stamp program rose from $19.8 billion to a staggering $84.6 billion (Did the population increase to that extent? NO! Shouldn’t the goal be to get people off of food cards?—my addition). The number of people taking advantage of the program has risen accordingly. Today, about one in seven Americans receives food stamps, a 140 percent increase since 1990 (That is over 14% of the population! Does that figure include illegal aliens?—my addition).
Democratic administrations have been at the forefront of pushing the program. Clinton put into place a policy called ‘broad-based categorical eligibility,’ which scaled back income and asset requirements (Allowing more people to qualify and become dependent upon the federal government!—my addition). Obama has continued and promoted this policy. There has also been a policy of recruiting new food stamp participants (Recruitment for dependence!—my addition). States are using ads and enrollment agents to encourage people who might otherwise have explored their own resources, or gone to family, churches or private agencies, to begin a journey of dependence on government assistance (Because the State then receives more federal money!—my addition).
Government food assistance programs were originally conceived as short-term help for needy families (Getting government foot in the door! Replacing the community, family, friends, and the church with the all powerful and all controlling federal government! With “assistance” comes control!—my addition). But as is always the case with welfare, the program has instead proven to be addictive (Of course! As the government knew it would!—my addition). Seventy percent of food stamps go to households that have been on the program five years or longer. Half of food stamps to go individuals who have been enrolled for 8.5 years or longer. (Dependent! Dependent! Dependent!—my addition) Because recipients must meet some income qualifications, there is a strong disincentive for people enrolled in the program to go to work and earn more money (Government programs! Grow! Grow! Grow! Designed to grow government more than help people!—my addition).
There are also legitimate questions as to whether the program reduces hunger in the country (Supposedly not! There are ads being run now about all the hunger in America! Why is that?—my addition). A report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) said, ‘The literature is inconclusive regarding whether SNAP alleviates hunger and malnutrition in low-income households.’ It continues, ‘Those who choose to participate in food assistance programs generally have greater difficulty meeting their food needs and tend to be more food insecure compared to others that are eligible for programs but do not participate (That is the new buzz word—food insecure!—my addition).’ This may be a function of personal initiative.
The time has come to take a long, hard look at this program. Reform is critical, and it is overdue (Not to mention that the Department of Agriculture is an unconstitutional Department that is not authorized by the Constitution!—my addition).”
We are in an ideological war. Internally, this is probably the most perilous time in our history since the pre-Civil War clash over slavery. One side supports an all powerful national government contrary to the Constitution. The other, which includes me, supports a federal system as established by the Constitution. A system that encourages God established morality, personal liberty and responsibility, respect for the law, and free enterprise.
It is past time to restore the Constitution as written and amended!
It is past time to take back the nation!
We can save the nation from itself by replacing establishment Republicans and Democrats with social, fiscal conservatives!
