Many illegal immigrants at a Northern California DMV reportedly were failing the written exam when applying for driver’s licenses on Friday (Supposedly, according to the law, illegal aliens may get a California driver’s license if they pass a written test and then a driving test and get auto insurance. The written test comes first. It seems they are failing the written test. Is that surprising?—my addition).
Under the AB 60 law that Governor Jerry Brown (D) signed in 2013 and took effect at the start of 2015, illegal immigrants were able to apply for driver’s licenses on Friday. And nearly 1.4 illegal immigrants are expected to apply for licenses in California in the next three years (They have over 1.4 million illegal aliens in the State of California? Do you think they count them as part of the population for census purposes. The census that determines, among other things, how many representatives they receive!—my addition).
At a DMV in south Sacramento, Veronica Oropeza, a 28-year-old illegal immigrant who has reportedly been driving without a license for six years, reportedly failed her written exam twice (Driving for six years without a license and failed the exam twice! How encouraging! How many chances does she get? Is she still driving? Of course?—my addition).
“Nobody’s passing,” she told the Sacramento Bee in Spanish (Still doesn’t speak English?—my addition).
As the Bee noted, ‘those who passed the written exam were given a driver’s permit and required to return another day to take the road test.’
When Nevada allowed illegal immigrants to apply for licenses last year, 71% of illegal immigrants in the state reportedly failed the written exam in the first three days.
Wanting to avoid what happened in Nevada, immigrant groups like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles [What an misnomer!—my addition] (CHIRLA) had provided free test prep classes to illegal immigrants in the final months of 2014 (And it still did not help?—my addition).
Oropeza had ‘already spent more than three hours at the DMV,’ and ‘she couldn’t stay to take the exam a third time, she said, because she had to get to work (She has a job! A job that could be done by an American citizen?—my addition).’”
Illegal aliens who should not even be in the country are now being given driver’s licenses? Does the State of California really believe such licenses are going to solve the problems? I seriously doubt it! Of course, the State could use the information to round up all the illegals and send them back to the country they came from. Not in California, of course! California is too progressive for that! In the end, will the State give licenses anyway to those who fail?
