The New York City Police Union Wants the Mayor of New York City Not to Attend the Funerals of Police Officers Killed in the Line of Duty?
“God created human government. It is, therefore, inconceivable that God would create government and then tell His people to stay out of it.” ~ Pastor Adrian Rogers

“NYC police union wants de Blasio banned from funerals
FoxNews.com
December 14, 2014
New York City’s rank-and-file police union is urging cops to tell Mayor Bill de Blasio not to attend their funerals in the event that they are killed in the line of duty (What a slap in the face!—my addition).
The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association posted a link on its website telling members not to let de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito ‘insult their sacrifice’ should they be killed. The union posted a ‘Don’t Insult My Sacrifice’ waiver officers can sign requesting the two politicians not attend their funerals due to their ‘consistent refusal to show police officers the support and respect they deserve (Should grand juries make the same statement?—my addition).’
The waiver says that attendance of the two elected officials ‘at the funeral of a fallen New York City police officer is an insult to that officer’s memory and sacrifice.’
The New York Post reports the mayor and council speaker are calling the effort ‘deeply disappointing.’
‘Incendiary rhetoric like this serves only to divide the city, and New Yorkers reject these tactics,’ they said in a joint statement (Who has been dividing the city? The Mayor and Council Speaker who did not support the police officers even though a grand jury failed to indict? It was the grand jury that heard all the evidence. Not the protesters, not the Mayor, and not the Council Speaker! By the way, according to Mark Levin, there was a police sergeant on the scene when the struggle occurred who is a Black woman. She did not stop the police officers at the time! She did not intervene!—my addition).
Sources told the Post the union is angry that the mayor did not show more support for the NYPD after a grand jury decided not to indict the officer involved in the death of Staten Islander Eric Garner (I can understand their frustration! The police officers are employees of the city doing their job for the city! No support from the two main elected officials of the city! I would be upset too!—my addition).
In a press conference about the grand jury’s decision not to charge the officer, de Blasio announced that he had warned his 17-year-old, mixed-race son, Dante, to be careful around police officers, which caused PBA President Patrick Lynch to claim de Blasio had thrown NYPD officers ‘under the bus (Why, yes! What a thing to tell your son of your employees!—my addition).’

It amazes me that people who have not heard and seen all the evidence in the case can claim to know better than the selected citizens who did see and hear all the evidence! It is not only a slam on the police officers but it is even more of a slam on the citizens who served on the grand jury! Why would anyone be willing to serve on a grand jury under such circumstances? The arrogance of the protesters, the Council Speaker, and the Mayor!
