Congress Should Increase Funding for Universal Preschool Education? If We Care about the Future of Our Children, This Must be Done?
Competition is good for the economy and competition is good for the Republican Party!!! Competition keeps Congressmen committed to we the people!!! Primary Republicans who do not support the Constitution as written.

“Studies have shown that the benefits of preschool last a lifetime. But federal funding for early childhood education is scarce.
Tell Congress to Fund Universal Preschool
According to the National Education Association, children who were enrolled in preschool earn $2,000 more per month later in life than those who were not. Preschool-educated individuals are also more likely to graduate high school and become homeowners.
Tell Congress to fund early childhood education for everyone.
Compared to the rest of the developed world, the United States falls far behind in early childhood education funding. We need to make sure every child has the resources they need to succeed.
Congress is currently considering a bill that would significantly expand funding for preschool programs. Tell your representative to support this bill and expand preschool access.
Thanks for spreading the word,
Eric A.”
As far as a can tell, Care2 Petitions is no more than a Leftist propaganda site. There are so many things wrong with this call to action. First and foremost, Congress has NO constitutional authority whatsoever to be involved in education at ANY level! The Department of Education is unconstitutional. Every federal dime spent on education is unconstitutional. Every increase in spending is unconstitutional.
Second, what studies? Identify one legitimate study that demonstrates any long lasting benefit from preschool education! I was a teacher and a school board member. I have researched this. Every legitimate study I have seen has said basically the same thing. If, and that if is a huge if in most cases, there is any benefit to government run preschool, those benefits are exhausted by the second or third grade. In other words, by the third grade, students who did not have the “benefit” of preschool had caught up with and often surpassed those who were in preschools. Preschool benefits are a myth or more accurately a lie perpetuated by the Left.
Third, the National Education Association has long ago been co-opted by the Left. The organization automatically supports every Democrat candidate for President. Name the last time the organization supported a Republican for President. The National Education Association supports the MURDER of unborn babies! In other words, it supports the MURDER of its own future clients!!! It supports and promotes homosexual behavior like any good Leftist.
When I taught, I was a member of the National Education Association. To be a member of the local association, one also had to belong to the State Association and the National Association. In other words, it was a coercive requirement. Today, I would not belong to any of the groups because I would NEVER financially support the National Education Association. The “values” (or lack thereof) of the National Education Association of today are NOT and NEVER will be my values!
Fourth, study after study after study conclusively demonstrates that the more time, not the less time, a young child spends with the child’s natural parents the better it is for the child both short term and long term. Children need more time with their parents NOT less!
Fifth, comparing the United States to the rest of the world is meaningless. And comparing money spent is absurd. We spend more money on government education that any other nation in the world.
Sixth, the President of the United States, sends his own children to an exclusive private school. That, in and of itself, should tell you his view of government education.
Seventh, I believe it was Lenin who said (paraphrasing), give me a child young enough and I will give you a socialist for life! In other words, education to a Leftist is no more than a means to propagandize the children of a nation.
After being a teacher and a school board member and after observing education in America, here is my advice: If you possibly can, home school your children! If you can not possibly do that, send them to a private school. If option one and two are not possible, reexamine why and find some way to do one or two!

Wealth in the Senate: This is a couple of years old but it is the latest information I could fine with a quick search. Notice the top seven are all Democrats—the supposed Party of the poor and underprivileged! John Kerry is now Secretary of State. Herb Kohl is no longer in the Senate. Frank Lautenberg recently died, has been replaced, and his widow was given $174,000 by Congress using a provision in a law just passed. Of course, all seven, as Democrats, are pro-MURDER in their voting records although back home they may claim otherwise!

Ballotpedia has compiled data on the average net worth of our elected officials for the years 2004 to 2010. As the average net worth of Congress has increased since 2004, and held about even from 2007 to 2010, the average American family net worth dropped 40 percent from 2007 to 2010 to an average of $77,300.
In 2010, the average net worth for a U.S. senator was $13,224,333. The average net worth for a Democratic senator was $19,383,524, compared to $7,054,258 for a Republican senator. That’s a difference of $12.3 million.

We need to keep supporting and working for PRO-LIFE, PRO-TRADITIONAL FAMILY candidates and representatives at all levels of government.
Never get complacent!
Never give-up!
NEVER SURRENDER!
You will know them by their words and deeds!
Matthew 12: 35-37 (NIV)
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 11: 19b (NIV)
“But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”
