From: http://dailycaller.com/2014/01/07/these-two-wind-turbines-will-take-four-centuries-to-pay-for-themselves/

“These two wind turbines will take four centuries to pay for themselves

One British town is in the renewable energy game for the long run —literally. The town bought two wind turbines that will take more than four centuries to pay for themselves (I think maybe before then, something better will come along and this project will be abandoned! What do you think? Of course, that is only four hundred years!—my addition).

The BBC reports that the two wind turbines installed in the English town of Rushcliffe will not likely produce any financial benefits for the town. Rushcliffe spent nearly $50,000 in 2004 installing the wind turbines at a county park, which doesn’t actually get much wind (Always a smart and rational move for WIND turbines!—my addition).

‘Due to higher than anticipated maintenance costs and relatively low generation rates, it is unlikely the council will make a financial saving within the anticipated lifespan of the turbine,’ said the Rushcliffe Borough Council.

The wind turbines’ poor location and mechanical problems mean that it only produced 477 kilowatt hours in 2012 and 2013. Last year, the turbine only generated about $121 worth of power, meaning that it would take 405 years for them to pay for themselves.

The Rushcliffe council, however, contended that the ‘meter wasn’t operating properly’ and that the two turbines usually produce 3,478 kilowatt hours annually—which would still mean a 55-year payback period.

This information was obtained by the UK Telegraph as part of an in-depth investigation on how the towns all across the United Kingdom are spending millions of dollars on wind turbines that are faulty and don’t generate enough revenue to pay for themselves (Minor detail for true environmental extremists!—my addition).

‘Some turbines generate so little energy they would take hundreds of years to repay their original value,’ Telegraph reported. ‘Experts argue that the failure of some wind turbines to recoup their value shows how small wind turbines are a poor way to generate renewable energy.’

Only three out of a handful of the towns that responded to the Telegraph’s inquiries had wind turbines with payback periods under ten years.

‘Wind energy is an experiment, and sometimes the lessons learnt are hard and dearly bought,’ Dr. John Constable, director at the Renewable Energy Foundation, told the Telegraph. ‘The truth is that foolishly ambitious targets and silly levels of subsidy have overheated the wind industry, resulting in defective technologies and poor installations (The best laid plans often go astray and these are not even close to the best laid plans! In the long run, government planning seldom if ever works! Inevitably they end up costing more and doing less than planned!—my addition).’

In Scotland, wind power developers are being criticized for cutting down millions of trees to make room for wind turbines—all in the name of independence (Wait! I thought trees were important to the well being of the environment? Plant a tree! Not cut down a tree!—my addition).

The Times of London reported that about five million trees have been cut down since 2007 in order to make way for wind farms. Only about 1,957 acres of woodland were planted after the wind farms were built (Picky, picky, picky!—my addition).

The left-leaning Scottish National Party that wants to secede from the United Kingdom has often invoked renewable energy as a path to independence.

Scottish Conservative energy spokesman Murdo Fraser told the Times, ‘the [Scottish National Party] is so blindly obsessed with renewable energy that it doesn’t mind destroying another important environmental attribute to make way for it (Of course! Do not bother me with details or unintended consequences! I know this is the right thing to do!—my addition).’”

Government planning almost never works as well as free market principles. So why do government authorities continually push for government planning and ignore free market principles? If it is economically viable and economically profitable let the free market do it assuming all the risks! Oh wait! Government knows best! NOT!

This is my two part suggestion to Tea Party groups, social conservatives, Constitutionalists, and anyone else who wants to save our Republic from the approaching destruction.

1) Run as many conservative candidates in as many Republican primaries as possible.

2) Then, run as many independent and/or third party candidates as possible in as many races as possible where we did not win the primary.

That is why I am working to get the Constitution Party on the ballot in Texas. If we get on the ballot, we will have two Congressional House candidates running and two State candidates running. Getting on the ballot is the first step. Winning elections is the second. Winning elections will grow the Party. The Constitution Party is much more in line with the Tea Party movement than is the Republican Party. And I have been involved with all three!

Taxes Increased: The Cure for What Ails the United States?

“There’s an Easy Way to Reduce Unemployment and Obesity, But Liberals Will HATE It
by Gary DeMar
January 8, 2014

The Huffington Post claims that it has found a way to reduce obesity—raise taxes on sugar, salt, and fat (Of course, the Left loves taxes being raised!—my addition). ‘A simple tax could be a big tool in ending America’s obesity epidemic. Adding a 20-percent tax on sugar would cut Americans’ total caloric intake by 18 percent and reduce sugar consumption by more than 16 percent, according to a new study from the National Bureau of Economic Research. Taxes on fat and salt would help, too, cutting total calories by an estimated 19 percent and 10 percent, respectively, according to the study.’

The title of the article is ‘There's An Easy Way To Fight Obesity, But Conservatives Will HATE It (Any unintended consequences? Even more eating to compensate for the lost of that which is enjoyed by the consumer?—my addition).’

These people are insane, but you already knew that.

If taxing something reduces a particular behavior, then why not tax unemployment? Why not tax able-bodied people for every day they don’t work. If taxes are a disincentive for a certain type of unapproved behavior, then taxing non-workers should give them special motivation to work (And taxing illegal behaviors will bring down that illegal behavior! The magical cure is increased taxation! Who knew? All these centuries and no one knew of this magic bullet cure! If a behavior is deemed bad, tax it! —my addition).

If liberals want to fight obesity, and taxes are the way to do that, then let’s just tax fat people. Why should people who are not fat and like to eat sweets be made to pay for people who can’t control their appetites? Don’t blame the sugar.

Instead, Congress passes laws to extend unemployment benefits for non-work and may even grant disability to people who can’t work because they are obese. In a counter productive move, liberals raise the tax on the employed to pay for the unemployed, women who have babies out of wedlock, and a whole host of other unproductive behaviors. It makes absolutely no sense . . . unless you’re a liberal.

Liberals have never met a tax they didn’t like. Liberals believe that taxes should be designed to punish. The most productive people in society should be punished for ‘income inequality.’ The new Marxist mayor of New York ran on this premise (It is State sanctioned stealing and Democrats are skilled at it!—my addition).

In reality, lower tax rates benefit everybody and income inequality is lessened. The most productive will spend more, save more, and invest more. This then lowers the cost of money, increases the availability of money, with the result that more people are needed to work.

Cigarette taxes are the perfect example of how taxes are counter productive. By increasing the tax on tobacco products, the goal (we’re told) is to stop people from smoking and thus lower healthcare costs. High taxes have only created a black market for cigarettes and reduced tax revenue as this report shows:

‘Massachusetts is losing between $74 million and $295 million a year due to people illegally avoiding paying taxes on cigarettes, according to new information provided to the state’s Illegal Tobacco Commission.

‘When the state increased its tobacco taxes in July from $2.51 to $3.51 a pack, the increase gave Massachusetts the distinction of having the second-highest cigarette excise tax in the country, after New York. The state, like many others, relies on cigarette taxes to both generate revenue and discourage smoking (Which are contradictory goals. If raising taxes is to stop smoking, then stopping smoking will decrease the amount of taxes collected!—my addition).’

It won’t be too long before liberals want to tax certain types of speech and media because they deem them harmful. They have proposals to tax ammunition. While the Second Amendment states that we have a ‘right to bear arms,’ it doesn’t say anything about ammunition (They are congruent and the writers of the Amendment understood that to be the case!—my addition).

George Harrison got it right when he wrote ‘Tax Man’:

Let me tell you how it will be
There’s one for you, nineteen for me
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman

Should five percent appear too small
Be thankful I don’t take it all
‘Cause I'm the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman

(If you drive a car car) I’ll tax the street
(If you try to sit sit) I’ll tax your seat
(If you get too cold cold) I’ll tax the heat
(If you take a walk walk) I’ll tax your feet
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman

Don’t ask me what I want it for
If you don’t want to pay some more
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman

If you get a head head, I’ll tax your hat
If you get a pet, I’ll tax your cat
If you wipe your feet, I'll tax your mat
If you’re overweight, I’ll tax your fat
Now my advice to those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
‘Cause I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

And you’re working for no one, but me
Yes, I’m the taxman
Yeah, I’m the taxman”

What they really want is money, power, and control. They achieve these goals in part by taxing the people!

“Teachers ‘instructed’ to teach ‘all right wing extremist groups’ are fascist [VIDEO]

Hillsdale professor Terrence Moore, author of “Story Killers: A Common Sense Case Against Common Core,” exposed some of the more distressing aspects of the controversial Common Core education standards program, saying that all teachers must tell young students that all right-wing groups are fascist (Only truth comes from a school’s curriculum. Right?—my addition.

Moore highlights how it is not just the reading lists and course materials—which have already attracted a large amount of criticism—that need to be examined by parents. It’s also the teaching notes and standard curriculum; the notes and standards come as part of a comprehensive package. Moore noted through his research that a distinctly political slant is introduced, one which dictates not only what children are taught, but also how they should be taught (Government as propagandist! The dream of the Left fulfilled through Common Core!—my addition).

‘For example, take the novel Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, which is a great classic, we all know it,’ he told The Daily Caller in an exclusive interview. ‘Just because it’s part of our culture.’

Moore calls Common Core and what goes on in school ‘frightening’ and ‘monstrous.’

‘What they do is give you about three or four pages of Mary Shelley, not a selection from Frankenstein, but just writing about Frankenstein, and then you will have four or five of a modern author talking about frightening stories that she heard as a child that have no relation to Frankenstein. You might see a picture from a 1950’s movie of Frankenstein Monster. The teacher will ask the class to dress up as Frankenstein sometimes to actually write an autobiography of a monster so you put yourself in the position of a monster. Why? Because monsters are never properly understood. So to figure out what it means to be a monster you have to put yourself in the monster’s shoes. I’m not making this up.

Then on top of that, and this is in a leading text book they have five and a half pages, two more pages than the words you get from Mary Shelley, five and a half pages of a skit from Saturday Night Live on Frankenstein (Our modern education system?—my addition).’

In the skit, Moore explains, an actor makes a comment about Frankenstein having green skin. That the skit is concluded by Frankenstein saying, ‘Oh, so this is a race thing? What are you guys? A bunch of fascists?’

Moore also details teaching standards and notes about what the teacher wants to do at that point in the class.

‘In the margin of the teachers edition, the teacher is instructed to explain the term ‘fascist’ to the students and to point out that the term ‘fascist’ is now applied to all right-wing extremist groups (Of course, actual fascism by definition is Left wing since it is based upon socialism!—my addition).’

Catch the full interview with Terrence Moore tomorrow on The Daily Caller.”

The video of the interview:

http://landing.newsinc.com/shared/video.html?freewheel=90046&sitesection=dailycaller&VID=25533257

The dream of the Left is to have total control of education. They hate the idea of local control. They hate even more private schools, if they do not control the private school, and parents who home school. Common Core basically gives the Left control of the curriculum in public schools throughout much of the nation! First, a scary concept. Second, the federal government has no constitutional authority over education! NONE! So, why are we allowing it to happen?

“Why don’t the heroes who stop mass murderers get better press?
Posted by bulletsfirst
January 6, 2014

If I say Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook and Aurora you will most likely think of the mass shootings that took place there.

I also think about all those places being gun free zones and how well that worked out (Not well at all!—my addition).

But what would come to mind if I said: Pearl High, Parker Middle School Dance, Golden Market and Clackamas Town Center?

If you are like most Americans you probably don’t know anything about these places and that is a shame because they are all places where a law abiding gun owner STOPPED a mass murderer before they could ratchet up the body count. Does the media trumpet these citizen heroes and repeat their names ad nauseam so they become household words? No. Their names are often unreported save for the local press of their town because apparently stopping a mass murderer with the ability to kill hundreds isn’t as sexy as letting him murder his way into the headlines (Of course not! More important, it undermines the premise of the establishment media that gun control is the way to prevent mass murders which has never worked out well for law abiding citizens!—my addition).

I think that is a (Expletive deleted—my addition). As such, let me tell you a little about the aforementioned situations.

Pearl High School; Pearl, Mississippi October 1st 1997: Luke Woodham started the day by beating and stabbing his mother to death before taking his 30-30 hunting rifle to school. Do I need to even point out the eerie similarity to Sandy Hook? Upon arriving at the school Woodham opened fire with his rifle injuring 7 and killing 2 including his former girlfriend. Principal Roy Balentine ran out of his office thinking something school related malfunctioned and ran across Woodham with his rifle. The principal, fearing that Woodham would come for him next ran back to his office and barricaded himself in to call the police allowing Woodham to continue on his rampage, shooting more kids along the way (Just as the federal government advises!—my addition).

Fortunately the Assistant Principal Joel Myrick (HERO) ran to his truck to get his Colt .45 semi automatic handgun and confronted Woodham as he was heading to the Middle School for younger targets. Myrick held his pistol in Woodham’s face and forced him to the ground where he kept his foot securely on Woodham’s neck until police arrived.

Once again proving mass murderers are cowards (They almost always, if not always, are!—my addition) and will either give up or kill themselves whenever they are challenged by someone else with a gun.

Hero Assistant Principal Joel Myrick saved countless lives that day. Principal Balentine ran to his office and called the police. Which Principal would you rather have if you were a student that day?

Parker Middle School Dance; Edinboro, Pennsylvania April 24th, 1998: Parker Middle School was holding its 8th Grade graduation dance at Nick’s Place, a banquet hall off campus. About 20 minutes before the end of the dance, 14 year old student Andrew Wurst pulled out a .25 caliber pistol and shot teacher John Gillette to death. He then went on to shoot three more people within the dance, moving along slowly and deliberately, mocking the people as they cowered there.

This situation was ended when the owner of Nick’s Place, James Strand (HERO) heard the shots from next door, grabbed his 12 gauge shotgun and came running over. He too, like Joel Myrick shoved the boomstick in Wurst’s face and ended the situation. The police arrived 11 minutes later. Wurst could have done a lot more damage in 11 minutes (If he had the ammunition! Rest assured none of the chaperones had weapons. It was a school sponsored event!—my addition) if not for the heroism of Stand who ran TO danger armed with the means to do something about it.

Wurst would later say he was intending to kill himself but like all cowards when faced with the actual threat of having his head blown clear from his body his talk proved cheap.

Golden Market; Richmond, Virginia July 13th, 2009: In this case the hero chose to remain anonymous yet his actions were not. A man entered the store with his revolver out, told everyone to get on the floor and then walked over to the store’s owner and shot him twice without provocation. The mass shooter then moved over to a teenage boy and raised his gun to shoot him when another customer (HERO) pulled out his concealed weapon and fired. The bad guy ran to the back of the store and found another innocent man lying prone and attempted to shoot him, until the hero distracted him and shot at him again.

The bad guy walked around the store attempting to execute people and each time the hero shot at him and forced him from his murderous intentions. Finally the bad guy walked in between aisles and the hero took his shot unfortunately learning that his single action revolver’s trigger spring had snapped and therefore the trigger would not return forward. Not missing a beat the hero simply fanned the hammer like in old school westerns striking the bad guy twice and ending the attack. The store owner survived and the bad guy was killed. No other injuries occurred thanks to a law abiding citizen being armed and present.

Clackamas Town Center; Clackamas, Oregon December 11th 2012: Mass murder wannabe Jacob Roberts (22) entered the Clackamas Town Center shopping mall with a rifle and opened fire. He got off 16 rounds that killed 2 people and injured a third. Before he could continue, armed shopper Nick Meli (HERO) drew his Glock 22 and confronted Roberts. Meli would say that if there were not innocent bystanders standing behind Roberts he would have fired but the point was fortunately moot as the simple act of someone standing up to Roberts with a firearm ran him off where he committed suicide shortly after.

The ironic thing about this case is that the hero, Nick Meli, ignored the mall’s prohibition against firearms. Had Meli submitted to the idiotic notion of a gun free zone, the death count would no doubt have been higher (Was he prosecuted? It would not surprise me. Did the mall changed its policy? That would surprise me! Some just do not learn!—my addition).

If you want to look over the Center’s Code of Conduct you can do it here: Clackamas Town Center Code of Conduct. It’s pretty short and near the end it says ‘No firearms or illegal weapon.’

The funniest part is what comes after:

‘Guests who do not act responsibly may be asked to leave. If they refuse to leave the property, they may be arrested and prosecuted for criminal trespass.’

No, if some mass murdering nutjob refuses to leave based on the prohibition they ignored in the first place they will shoot up the place and kill as many unarmed people as they can while you call 911 and wait for the police. Criminal trespass … ha … the Center should be on their knees praising Nick Meli, not promoting the silly notion that a gun free zone sign would stop Jacob Roberts.

Here’s another little bit of food for thought. Look at these locations, even if some are in gun free zones they are in states that embrace gun rights. Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Virginia; even Oregon has that libertarian gun rights streak. These are states where people have a gun close at hand and thus have the ability to stop tragedies before they happen.

Yet the national media will focus on the failures in states where gun control is oppressive and gun ownership is limited (Of course! It matches the agenda of the Left!—my addition).

Light must be shined on the heroes in the cases where tragedy was averted or at least limited thanks to the law abiding gun owner.

Speaking of states with a culture of gun rights and ownership, I can only wonder if the Aurora movie theatre in Colorado weren’t a gun free zone if the incident would have been in the second group of tragedies averted instead of the first group of successful mass murders.”

Restrictive gun laws are not enacted for the purpose of saving lives. They are enacted for the purpose of controlling the citizens of the area impacted by the law!

“Obamarama: Women in Combat! (Unnatural and Dangerous)
by Geoffrey G. Fisher
January 15, 2014

‘Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta (in January of 2013) lifted the 1994 Combat Exclusion Rule that restricted women from serving in frontline infantry, armor and special operations units and set a January 2016 compliance deadline (A horrendously terrible idea that endangers both men and WOMEN in combat!—my addition).’ You want to do what? How did you reach the conclusion that women are physiologically ready for frontline hand to hand combat (They are not! GOD did not design women to be warriors! All the attempts to lie about it not withstanding!—my addition)?

May I suggest taking a look at the field of sports and strength training for a quick review of the differences between men and women?

Despite all the progress women have in the fields of sports and strength training, it is political correctness run amuck to suggest that women are qualified to be combat warriors. The feminists and the political left need to be checked before service members are killed because of the left’s stupidity (They should be put in the front lines of battle for a month before any decision is finalized! By themselves without backup!—my addition). Let the facts speak for themselves on this topic.

According to Paul Vanderburgh, a professor of exercise physiology at the University of Dayton, ‘(B)ecause women have lower levels of testosterone, they typically develop less muscle than men, Vanderburgh explained. In addition, they can’t lose as much fat. Men can conceivably get to 4 percent body fat; women typically bottom out at more than 10 percent.

The New York Times reported that 14-year-old boys can earn the highest award on the government’s (Obama’s) physical fitness test by doing 10 pull-ups or chin-ups: for 14-year-old girls, it’s 2. Despite this empirical evidence and tomes of studies stating the obvious, the president continues on remaking America into something that is unrecognizable and preposterous (And more importantly, DANGEROUS for both men and women on the front lines of battle!—my addition) .

All this talk of women taking to the battle field caused me to revisit an article I wrote three years ago about the differences between male and female athletes after the women’s basketball coach at The University of Connecticut (my alma mater) had a fur-ball over a perceived slight in the media towards his team.

AURIEMMA’S TEMPER TANTRUM REVEALS THE ACHILLES’ HEEL OF WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

GEOFFREY GRISWOLD FISHER

January 2011

Congratulations to the University of Connecticut Women’s basketball team for their remarkable accomplishment of 90 consecutive wins, breaking the old record of 88 by the 1971-1974 UCLA Men’s Basketball team.

If you simply wanted to enjoy UConn’s moment in the sun there was a problem that developed almost immediately. Supporters of Title IX and myopic women’s basketball aficionados cried foul—they cited the tepid interest in UConn’s chase for the greatest number of consecutive basketball games as evidence of sexism and intolerance in the media.

The lead critic of the nation’s luke-warm interest in women’s basketball was not Rachel Maddow or Gloria Steinem but rather UConn Women’s head coach Luigi (Geno) Auriemma, himself. An Italian immigrant with a blue collar work ethic, Auriemma became a naturalized United States citizen in 1994 after 33 years living in America. His story is that of a true Horatio Alger—and this makes his recent comments all that more disappointing and confusing to this alumnus.

The coach in his own words:

Because we’re breaking a men’s record, we’ve got a lot of people paying attention, Auriemma said. If we were breaking a women’s record, everybody would go, ‘Aren’t those girls nice, let’s give them two paragraphs in USA Today, you know, give them one line on the bottom of ESPN and then let’s send them back where they belong, in the kitchen.

Really coach, the kitchen?

This type of pandering is better associated with the perennial whining of Maureen Dowd of the New York Times. Auriemma should know better. His rhetoric was lazy and silly.

The reason the media and the public in general paid less attention to the 90 game winning streak was because women’s basketball is not played at the same caliber as men’s basketball. Here are the facts.

Stamina

Women’s basketball is played by women. Women are slower and weaker. Just look at the world records for any sport. In the 100 meter dash—the current men’s world record is 9.58 seconds. The current women’s world record is 10.49 seconds. The difference is .91 seconds. The female holder (Mrs. Griffith-Joyner) would have come in last place running at the men’s heat at the 2009 event.

In the marathon category the same pattern is found. The world record time for men is 2 hours 3 minutes and 59 seconds, set in 2008. The world record for women in 2003 is 2 hours 15 minutes and 25 seconds. The difference is a staggering 11 minutes and 26 seconds. Even in pro tennis the women only play 2 out of 3 matches rather than the men’s 3 out of 5 matches.

Vertical Leap

According to JumpsHigher.com, the average vertical leap of a woman between the ages of 21 and 25 is 14.1 inches, while the average vertical leap of a man in the same age range is 22.1 inches … Men leap higher for rebounds and shots than women do, and thus the slam dunk is an iconic part of the game of men’s basketball, whereas in women’s basketball it is nearly nonexistent (The University of Arizona men’s basketball team had a point guard listed at 5’ 10.” He was at least an inch shorter than that. I walked by him one day after jogging on campus and he was at least an inch shorter than me and I’m 5’ 10.” He could dunk in game situations which is more difficult than practice. He is not alone. I’ve never heard of a women under 6’ who has ever come close to dunking a basketball!—my addition).

Indeed, according to By Brian Palmer of Slate Magazine, ‘Baylor’s Brittney Griner became (only) the second women ever to dunk a basketball in an NCAA tournament game Tuesday in a win over Florida (in 2010)…The average WNBA player, at just under 6 feet, is about 7 inches shorter than her male counterpart.

Coach Auriemma knows these facts. Any team that can leap 8 inches higher is going to dominate the game. UConn’s own Kara Wolters at 6’7” did not dunk the ball once during her collegiate career. Women are built differently than men—their low center of gravity is suited for stability and pregnancy rather than leaping (GOD made women for select purposes! GOD made men for select purposes! They are NOT interchangeable!—my addition). Although this observation may sound like a headline from Neanderthal Times, ‘Ladies of Connecticut Public Television you just need to acknowledge the facts.’

The Basketball Itself

The women’s basketball is smaller, lighter, and has a greater bounce. That means that every shot by a female player is cheaper. The Men’s basketball on average is a full inch bigger in circumference and on average .3 inches bigger in diameter. Every shot by Maya Moore has an extra cushion of .15 inches on all sides of the rim. In addition, the women’s three point line is a full one foot closer to the hoop. Coach Auriemma, that means that every shot is easier to make and less challenging that the shots required of the men’s teams.

There is no 10 second rule for women to move the ball to the half court line.

The Big Story should be how far women have come since they started playing basketball in bloomers. The current configuration of five women players playing over a full court was only inaugurated in 1971.

Speaking about the Huskies, Bill Walton, the all-American center on those U.C.L.A. teams of the early 1970s, told The Associated Press: ‘They (UConn women) play with a great sense of team, great purpose, phenomenal execution of fundamentals, relentless attack. It is what every team should aspire to, regardless of the sport.’ This is the true greatness of UConn Women’s Basketball.

Thomas Walker posts in his blog Sports: ‘Routinely, UConn schedules the toughest women’s teams in the country …The Huskies practice against male players, sometimes five women against six men. Come game time, UConn is unfailingly prepared.’

I find the UConn women stellar in their pursuit of perfection on the court and exemplary in their wholesome public persona. They serve as excellent role models for little girls both on and off the court—an ethos we can all admire.

Congratulations to the Lady Huskies and may Luigi (Geno) Auriemma do what he does best: coach—pandering is beneath you.”

After moving back to Morton, Illinois from Tucson, I watched our high school girls’ basketball team. During that time they finished fourth in the State in 2A when 2A was the large school division. After the two divisions were split into four, last year they finished fourth in the State in 3A. I coached one year of fresh-soph high school basketball in a school of 200 students. Two sophomores were starters on the varsity which lost in the sectional to the team that finished third in the State when Illinois had only one division. They never played for me. My team finished 16-6. My starting five were better at every position than any of the girls’ teams that I saw in Morton including the teams that finished fourth in the State. My bench was better than any of Morton’s teams’ bench and my bench was deeper.

Women can not compete with men on the basketball court. Women also can not compete with men on the battle field. In basketball no lives are in danger because of that lack of competitiveness. On the battle field, the lives of both our men and WOMEN are in danger! Keep women from the battle field for the sake of everyone!

If elected to Congress, I will not, under any circumstances, vote for present Speaker of the House John Boehner to be Speaker of the House. I call on every Republican primary candidate running in Texas Congressional District 19 to publicly (in writing) make the same pledge. It would not be a bad idea for every Republican candidate running for the House of Representatives to give the same pledge. See my post at http://christiangunslinger3.blogspot.com on December 16, 2013 entitled “Speaker of the House John Boehner Attacks the Tea Party Again for Being Fiscally Responsible!”

If I am elected to the House, I will use the Constitution, as written, to do everything in my power to stop judicial tyranny! Will the other candidates pledge the same? I know our present Representative has NOT done everything possible to stop judicial tyranny! Why is that?

Competition is good for the economy and competition is good for the Republican Party!!! Competition keeps Congressmen committed to we the people!!! Primary Republicans who do not support the Constitution as written.

“Who Is Dropping Out of the Labor Force?
January 17, 2014

The labor force participation rate has dropped 7 percentage points for workers ages 16 to 24, says Diana Furchtgott-Roth, director of Economics21 at the Manhattan Institute (That is a huge drop for this age group!—my addition)

· Young workers (ages 16 to 24) have seen the largest decline in labor force participation, dropping from 62 percent to 55 percent between 2003 and 2013.

· For workers between age 25 and 54, the participation rate has only declined by 2 percentage points (from 83 to 81 percent).

· For Americans age 55 and older, participation has increased by 4.6 percentage points over the last decade, for both men and women.

The fall in young workers' labor force participation rates has not corresponded with a similar increase in school enrollment. In fact, the percent of 16 to 24 year olds enrolled in high school, college and university increased by only 0.3 percentage points over the last 10 years (Which means this: What are these 7% doing? Supported by government? Supported by parents? Supported by crime? And the Obama Administration wants to raise the minimum wage and allow illegals! What do you think either one of those actions are going to do to this rate? Can you say: “DOWN, please!”—my addition).

Part of the reason that fewer jobs exist for younger workers is due to the increase in labor force participation for older workers: older Americans are retiring later, which means that there are fewer job openings for the youth.

On top of this, gross domestic product growth has been very slow. Slow growth means little job creation, which in turn discourages participants and leads younger and middle-aged workers to drop out of the labor force.

Without major tax, regulatory and entitlement reform, the poor labor force participation rate is unlikely to improve. (My use of red—my addition)

Source: Diana Furchtgott-Roth, ‘Who Is Dropping Out of the Labor Force, and Why?’ Real Clear Markets, January 14, 2014.”

The federal government needs to end the income taxation of all business income. All federal regulations imposed by the Obama Administration need to be frozen, reviewed by Congress, and ended as appropriate. And then, we need to turn our attention to untangling the entitlement mentality and getting people back to being self-sufficient!
