The picture above shows the scene outside the FedEx facility where Tuesday’s mass shooting in Georgia took place. Notice carefully what sign is posted. That’s right, it’s a ‘No Firearms Allowed’ sign (Or more correctly, MURDERERS welcome; protectors stay out! No sign is going to keep someone intend on murder from bringing guns to the murder scene. It only means he knows there will be NO armed resistance! Does the Left want murders to occur with these open invitations?—my addition).
It’s a tragic story. A FedEx employee injured six other people using a shotgun in the gun-free zone, three of whom are in critical condition and two of whom are in surgery, according to the hospital. After he had injured the six, the employee used the gun to kill himself (Before “help” arrived?—my addition).
Numerous 911 calls alerted police that there was a shooter in the building, and more than 100 police and federal officers quickly swarmed in on the location. But despite the speed with which police got there, the damage had already been done (Normal!—my addition).
According to a hospital spokesperson, two of the injuries were life-threatening, specifically those of a twenty-eight year old man and a fifty-two year old woman. The hospital said the man was on a ventilator.
The effectiveness of gun free zones is a matter of continuing political debate (It should not be! They do not stop crime! They do not stop evil people from bringing guns! They do prevent law abiding people from being able to protect themselves!—my addition). According to economist John Lott, ‘With just one single exception, the attack on congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson in 2011, every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns (Even in the Tucson case, The type of person who would be at a rally for Giffords would not be carrying a gun! I shopped at that shopping center. If the shooter was intent on just killing Giffords there is a good sniper location for that to occur and to escape. Going into the crowd meant he was not a marksman and/or he was intent upon killing as many as he could without escaping. I had a church friend killed and his wife was wounded. Neither of them would have been carrying! Evil is everywhere! It is insane not to let people defend themselves and their loved ones. Giffords should know this but she did not learn from her own experience! Sad!—my addition).’
FedEx issued a statement in which they said, ‘FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members (No! Or it would not have been a gun free zone!—my addition), first responders, and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities.’
How effective are gun zones in preventing violence? Do they help prevent it? Or do they in fact provide mass shooters with confidence that they won’t be confronted by someone packing heat while carrying out their rampage (This, of course!—my addition)? Feel free to share your thoughts.

Guns are an instrument. They may be used for good or evil. Guns murder only when used by a murderer. A man in Texas was murdered by his “girlfriend” who stabbed him repeatedly with her 6” spiked high heels. Should we have 6” spiked high heels free zones? Just about anything can be used as a weapon in the right hands. Did you see The Presidio with Sean Connery? He used his thumb as a weapon! Should we ban thumbs? Set up thumb free zones?
People murder people, not guns!

This is my two part suggestion to Tea Party groups, social conservatives, Constitutionalists, and anyone else who wants to save our Republic from the approaching destruction.
1) Run as many conservative candidates in as many Republican primaries as possible.
2) Then, run as many independent and/or third party candidates as possible in as many races as possible where we did not win the primary.
